Self Raising Flour 300g 10.5oz
Cream of Tartar 12.5g .4oz
Sodium Bicarbonate 5g .2oz
Butter or Margarine 30g 1oz
Milk or Soy Milk or Water 250ml 9oz |
Sieve dry ingredients into a large
bowl. Using fingertips rub butter into flour. Add milk and combine to make
a soft dough. Onto a board
that has been lightly sprinkled with flour, knead lightly. Roll dough out
to 2cm (3/4 inch) think, cut into shapes brush tops with milk.
Cook on a baking tray that has been lightly dusted with flour at 220°C
(425°F) for 10-15 minutes. Serve hot or cold, buttered or with jam and
cream. |
