Self Raising Flour 225g 80z
Cocoa 30g 1oz
Raw Sugar 100g 3.5oz
Milk Free Margarine (Melted) 85g 3oz
Golden Syrup 60g 2oz
Hot Water 300ml 10.5oz
Sodium Bicarbonate 5g .2oz
Chocolate Icing
Pure Icing Sugar 154g 5.25oz
Cocoa 8g .3oz
Milk Free Margarine 8g .3oz
Hot Water 20ml .7oz |
In large bowl sieve together flour and
cocoa, add sugar and stir well. Mix sodium bicarbonate into water, combine
hot water with melted margarine and golden syrup. Add to dry ingredients
and stir to combine. This mixture has a very soft consistency. Cook in a
round 20cm (8 inch) lightly greased and base lined tin in a moderate oven
180°C (355°F) for 30-40 minutes. Ice with
Chocolate Icing
Combine ingredients together, mix until smooth. Spread over cake when
cooled. |
