1 cup self-raising flour
2/3 cup caster sugar
250 g NESTLÉ Milk Melts
125 g butter
1/3 cup NESTLÉ Baking Cocoa
125 mL boiling water
3 eggs

125 g NESTLÉ PLAISTOWE Cooking Chocolate, melted
1 cup icing sugar
2 tsp hot water

Preheat oven to 160°C. Grease and line
20cm square cake pan with baking paper.
Sift flour into a large bowl. Stir in sugar.
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt NESTLÉ Milk Melts and butter
until well combined. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Combine
NESTLÉ Baking Cocoa and water, mix until well combined. Add to Melts
mixture with eggs. Using a whisk, mix until smooth. Add to dry ingredients
and whisk until well combined. Pour into prepared cake tin and bake for
45-50 minutes or until cake is cooked when tested with a skewer. Allow to
cool 10 minutes in tin
before turning out onto a wire rack to cool.
Spread with icing and decorate with sweets.
ICING
Beat together butter and melted NESTLÉ PLAISTOWE Dark Cooking
Chocolate until well combined. Add icing sugar and mix well, adding hot
water if necessary, to form a consistency easy for spreading. |
