750 g lean rump steak - cut into strips
1 tablespoon butter
1 medium onion - finely chopped
500 g mushrooms - sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
2/3 cup water
2 beef stock cubes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
200 ml carton lite sour cream
1 teaspoon cornflour |
1. Heat non-stick pan till hot. Saute
beef strips in small batches till browned. Remove from the pan.
2. Add butter to pan, saute onion till lightly browned.
3. Add mushrooms, saute till tender.
4. Return meat to pan.
5. Add salt, pepper, stock cubes, tomato paste and water. Stir to mix.
Bring to a boil, then simmer, covered, for 5 minutes.
6. Combine cornflour and lite sour cream. Gradually add to the pan,
stirring till the mixture boils and thickens. Reduce heat, simmer 5
minutes.
7. Serve with spiral pasta. |
