1 pound rump steak - cut into strips
1 onion - chopped
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoons tomato paste
½ cup beef stock
½ cup red wine
Juice of ½ lemon
¼ teaspoon thyme
Parsley to garnish |
1. Saute beef strips in butter.
2. Add onion and sautee with beef until onion is tender.
3. Lower heat, add tomato paste and flour, cook for 1 minute.
4. Add stock and wine, stirring to form a smooth sauce.
5. Add lemon juice, thyme, salt and pepper.
6. Continue cooking another 5 minutes until the beef is tender.
7. Garnish with parsley and serve. |
